When the U.S. stock market crashed in 1929, it took until 1954 before the Dow Jones Industrial Avereage regained all of its losses. The Dow broke 10,000 (for the first time) on March 19th, 1999. It peaked at 14,164 at the market’s close on October 9th, 2007. When do you think the Dow will return to 14,164? Will it ever get that high again? I’m interested in seeing what you think.

With government help/interference it will take many years. If Government leaves things alone the economy could come back quickly, i.e., just a couple of years. Of course the gov should recend the “Community Reinvestment Act” and the requirement for banks to value mortgaged property on current values. These are the two biggest reasons for current problem.
Typical Republican response. Less regulation. Yet this is exactly why we are in the shape we are in. Not enough regulations. Implimenting regulations will help retsore consumer faith. Letting banks and other entitys to continue to do buisnes as usual will obviously make the crisis worse. The Government has a responsiblity to its people. When will people wake up to that?
OHH I am amazed with it. It is a good thing for my search on the net. Thanks. ^_^
